About the Designer
Giovanna Sessi-Knott is an award-winning interior designer, sustainable handbag designer, and slow fashion advocate. Her company, GSK Bespokdesigns LTD, is rooted in the belief that style, practicality, and sustainability can — and should — go hand in hand.
Italian-born and based in London, UK, Giovanna was raised in a fashion industry family and grew up with an innate sense of refined style. Before launching The Morphbag by GSK, she built a successful international career in business and led a celebrated London-based interior design firm.
Inspired by her own experiences as a working mother balancing career, travel, and family life, Giovanna created The Morphbag by GSK, a set of three coordinated handbags designed to offer busy women a sustainable, stylish option for every version of themselves. Her goal is to help women embrace conscious shopping, buy less, and choose well — without ever compromising on style or practicality.
Female empowerment and solidarity have always been close to Giovanna’s heart, reflected in her ongoing collaboration with Smartworks Charity, which supports women entering the workforce with confidence. This passion continues with her latest venture — the Customisable Icons Collection, a line of bespoke, handwoven handbags inspired by iconic women who have shaped Giovanna’s entrepreneurial and sustainable journey. Each piece celebrates their legacy while empowering the talented female artisans in Peru who craft them using ancestral weaving techniques, preserving their cultural heritage and providing economic independence.
